Mr Jeff Smith, IAC Expert Advisor

Mr Jeff Smith joined the IAC as an Expert Advisor in August 2024. He brings his experience in the disability sector and social justice to his role with the IAC, which elevates the IAC’s collective expertise on disability issues, and the NDIS. 

Mr Smith is the CEO of the Disability Advocacy Network Alliance and has extensive experience as a senior executive holding various governance and Board roles.     

Mr Smith is the Chair of the NDIA Dispute Resolution Forum and served as a member of the NDIA’s Independent Expert Review Oversight Committee, helping to monitor the implementation and outcomes of the Independent Expert Review program. The program aimed to improve NDIA’s early dispute resolution processes to reduce the number of cases needing to go through to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. 

Mr Smith is a person with a disability, and a solicitor with a lifelong commitment to disability and the environment.
